Still closed Tuesday. Wind is blowing ice chunks out of the trees. A little bit new snow. We will be open Wednesday.

Closed Tuesday. We will be open again Wednesday at 9 am.

11º and the wind is blowing like crazy. Branches and ice chunks are falling. We did get a little snow overnight. A little more than a dusting.

When we get going Wednesday, our goal is for the low trails to be open, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. I will update this post later after Ian has had a machine out and we see how it all grinds up.

The photo above is from this morning. It is really cold and windy. AND we still have snow to work with!

Closed, will let you know ASAP about Tuesday.

Edit Monday at 6:41 pm. Closed until we can access the damage on Tuesday morning. As of 6:41 pm the trees are still heavy with ice, and now have snow stuck on the iced branches. The branches are heavy and wind could gust to 40 mph. Only time will tell.

We have now been open 22 days, starting December 4, and had some great skiing. Yesterday and the day before were both superb.

And now we wait, for the icing to stop. For the temperature to go up and then back down. The forecast for tonight is 10º. We wait for all the snow on the ground to freeze back up, so we can run machines and get it skiable again. But it sounds like the wind might come into play tonight and tomorrow. So pay attention, check back, see what tomorrow brings.

But we still have snow and we will get skiing again ASAP!

Chickadee opened yesterday at noon. Seventeen km open today. Skiing today is fabulous!

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 8º. The forecast high is 33º.

The skiing is fabulous. Ian groomed the low trails last night, new track and firm skate lane. Chickadee was groomed yesterday morning, the photo above. Chickadee will be open today. But after the rain it will need more snow to get open again.

TODAY, the skiing is wonderful, fabulous, superb!

TOMORROW (Monday) is another story. We will be closed, the forecast is for ice overnight and then rain with a high on Monday of 40º. Monday night dropping back down to 15º. Check back on Tuesday to see where we stand and the projected opening.

Below is a photo of the track today;

Three and a half inches of snow overnight. Fresh grooming. The skiing doesn’t get any better than this.

Open at 9 am. 10º F at 6 am. The forecast high is 23º, and we have 3 inches of new snow.

Today we are in prime mid-winter conditions. Fresh powder snow and temperatures staying cold. The perfect winter day. The trees are coated with snow and the wind isn’t blowing. This really is a great day!

10 km of trails open and groomed. Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. All with a track and a skate lane. All the photos above are from this morning, with my phone adjusting as it saw fit. I just need more practice with night time shots.

The brooks are putting on a show, ice and snow, make a lovely ski down along the Woodcock.
