Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am 7º. We had a dusting of snow overnight.

17 km groomed and ready to ski. Chickadee is a work in progress so is open, groomed flat, without a track.

The photo above is the track this morning. The Pisten Bully puts in such a nice track. And the skate lane is beautiful too.

The photos below are from yesterday. Nice to have winter days to and be able to spend the day outside.

Almost six inches of new snow! The skiing is fantastic. This is a great day to dig out your warm clothes and get outside.

Open today at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 16º. The temperature will be dropping during the day to 13º.

Six inches of new snow. The skiing yesterday was really nice and today will be inches of new snow better.

The photos above are the Pisten Bully on the Grouse and the track the Pisten Bully puts in next to the skate lane. (The skate lane is lovely too.) It doesn’t get any better. 10 km packed and ready to ski. Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk, Woodcock, Snow Goose, and Peregrine. The skiing today is a really good reason to get excited. Happy New Year!

The temperature is going to drop and the wind may blow. A coat with a hood is really helpful in the wind. Dry clothes before you go out, dry socks after you get here and a dry shirt for the ride home. Also, I recommend a neck gaiter and mittens instead of gloves. Oh, yeah, and no cotton.

We have skiing. Ground up and ready to ski. Ten km open. Quick skiing, slowing down with any new snow.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6:30 am is 13º. The forecast high is 21º. The wind isn’t blowing as hard consistently. But there are still some good wind gusts. There is also the possibility of some snow or snow flurries.

10 km open, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. McCuaig’s Field, off of Snow Goose is not open today, needs works. All trails have been groomed with the snow cat, multiple times, and are skiable and fast. Any new snow will slow the skiing down.

Be careful if you venture off the groomed trails, the snow pack is awkward. Bumpy, icy, thick enough crust to almost not break through. If you have micro spikes or studded shoes, this is a great time to use them.

And staying warm. A hood. Mittens, instead of gloves. Dry socks after you get here before your ski boots. No cotton layers. Wool is wonderful. And layers, lots of different layers.

We will be open tomorrow. Fast skiing. Some folks will like it and some will not like it at all!

Open on Wednesday morning at 9 am. We will have skiing. It will be fast. The surface has ground up nicely with the Pisten Bully, yeah for the Pisten Bully!

The skiing is good, but fast. There are skiers who will like it. You know, the people who have skied most of their lives. And there are people who won’t like it. The people who are afraid of falling and don’t want to get hurt. Choose wisely!

This skiing is not for everyone.

Trails groomed and open, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, and Peregrine.

You need to be careful on spots where the groomer hasn’t been. It is slippery! All open trails will be groomed. If you have any questions, ask before going out.
