Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 31º. The forecast high today is 42º.

No grooming today. Skiing is good. We did have another dusting of snow overnight.

At 6 am the moon is out and the sunrise should be good. Clouds are expected to roll in and some precipitation rain/snow.

The low trails are open, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine, 10 km. Photos above are from yesterday,

Today is our 37th day of skiing this season. Tomorrow I will get a total snowfall number for the season.

One inch of snow overnight. The skiing is pretty nice.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 26º. The forecast high is 35º.

10 km open. The skiing is good. Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine were groomed yesterday, One inch of snow now on top. Ian skied already this morning and says the skiing is “pretty nice”.

One inch of new on top of yesterday’s good skiing will make today’s skiing even better. The photo above was from yesterday. And here comes the big “but” if you have waxless skis, as the temperature goes up to around freezing you will need Maxiglide, or Swix F4.

New snow around 32º sticks on to the bottom of waxless skis. If you have ever experienced snow clumping and sticking onto the bottom of your ski, Maxiglide is the answer. It never hurts the ski to put it on. But if you need it and don’t use it, not good. Ask in the shop if you have any questions.

Get out and enjoy the beautiful day with a great ski!

Half an inch of new snow overnight. The snow is finally dry enough to groom out nicely. Not powder, feels more like sugar.

Open at 9 am. At 6 am the wind is blowing and the temperature is 17º. The forecast high is 29º.

We had half an inch of snow overnight, the base is finally dry enough to groom out nicely and the skiing looks good. The photo above is from this morning and the moon is even in the shot.

10 km open, groomed out track and skate lane. Not powdery snow, more like skiing on granulated sugary snow. Skiing is nice. Happy, happy skiers.

The skiing this week has temperature ups and downs. Snowflakes with maybe some mixed precipitation. But overall looks like we will get a fine week of skiing.

Yesterday was fun. Great group of kids out there having a great time. And lots of sun!

Race this morning. Wet granular skiing. Photo of the corduroy, there is a track set also.

Open for day 34 of skiing. The temperature at 5:30 am is 30º. The forecast high is 34º.

We had snow, rain, sleet, and a few more snow flakes. The snow for skiing is tilled up with a track for classic skiing and a skate lane to the side. Turkey was groomed this morning, Woodcock, Snow Goose, and Grouse yesterday morning. A little bit of sleety stuff on top.

We do have a race this morning. You are welcome to come cheer and ski, the race is on the Turkey. Or wait until about noon and the race will be over and clearing out.

Seven km open and groomed, The snow is too wet for the Pisten Bully to do the hills and turns on the Peregrine. The Peregrine was open yesterday afternoon and was very nice skiing after the temperatures warmed up. Ask in the shop if you have any questions about skiing the Peregrine.

Late this afternoon the temperature is expected to drop, when it does the snow will get fast.

Chickadee and Blue Jays are all closed waiting for fresh snow.

A final note, I have been out walking around this morning, and the snow and ice and slipperiness are different. The sanded areas are more slippery today and the snow and icy from yesterday are less slippery. Be careful walking around.
