Open and skiing on the lower trails. We have 10km open. Green trails, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Blue trails, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine. The snow ground up nicely to a sugary, frozen granular. It is very skiable. And even being very skiable it will be fast. Novices will want to stick to the flatter loops or try shoe shoeing.
We will be open Sunday 12/30, skiing on the lower trails. We hope to have 10km open by mid day (we will have at least 5km by 9:00). The snow will be pretty fast, novices will want to stick to the flattest loops or try shoeshoeing. Coverage is still surprisingly good, we had a big crew out shoveling low areas this afternoon.
All trails closed today. The snow needs to dry out and firm up. Please stay off the snow here! Compacted snow is way harder to re-groom. We have our fingers crossed for tomorrow. We won't know until Sunday morning.
