Open, 2º and sunny at 7am. Forecast, high 35º, and cloudy.

All trails are open. All are really nice! 12.9 inches of snow on the really good base. Loon, Upper and Middle Blue Jay will still be fun, with some bumps and humps.

The photo above is thanks to Heather N. Not only did she send me a photo, but also a poem.

Two trails diverged in a wood and I- I skied the Grouse under bright blue sky- ’cause snow has made all the difference.

The smiles were wide yesterday, even in the cold wind.

Carl and Christine on the Woodcock. Mystery photographer. Thanks to all for getting us a photo!

And a couple photos from George:

A picture really is worth a thousand words.

12.9 inches of new snow, storm total.

Open, 13º at 6am. 12.9 inches of snow, storm total. Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Peregrine, open, packed and tracked. Upper and Middle Blue Jay, Chickadee/Loon a work in progress. Classic skiing will be better today.

Yesterday’s snow was wet. Marie and Bob skied yesterday, thanks for the photo! (I am always looking for photos, if you get one you’d like to share.)

Ian could do some packing yesterday, but waiting for the snow to dry out overnight makes for the best skiing in the long term.

This morning:

Ian is in the snow cat, Jonathan is on the snow mobile.

The lower trails, Ian is packing and tracking with the snow cat. Jonathan will be on the snow mobile on the upper trails. Day 1 after a storm is always a work in progress. If you want to ski on a harder trail, check when you get here to see what has been groomed.

4.2 inches of snow overnight.

Open, 4.2 inches of snow as of 6:30am, and 22º. Snow expected (may mix with sleet and or freezing rain) all day. We will do minimal grooming today on the lower trails. Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, and Peregrine. Please drive safely.

This new snow will help. But, it doesn’t fall ready to ski. And given the forecast we can’t pack it down tight today. We will do minimal grooming, so tomorrow morning it will groom out with a beautiful track and a nice firm skating lane. At least that is our goal, God willing and the creek don’t rise.

Today’s high forecast is 34º, tonight’s low 10º and tomorrow’s high 13º.

Yesterday’s skiing was fine, and Todd told me it was actually better than fine.

We had a busy kid day, and they are at a good age! Skied many kilometers, some on trails and many, many trips up and down the hill.

Skiing before the storm. Forecast 8-12.

FYI, the warming room will remain closed and rentals (with a mask) in the open room of the barn.

Falling between 10pm tonight and 10pm Monday night, heavy snow, strong winds, could mix with sleet and freezing rain. We will do a minimal amount of grooming on Monday.
