And We’re Open. Read the whole report!

Open, 22º at 7am, and cloudy. 3.4 inches of snow last 24 hours. Storm total, 11.7 inches of snow.  This feels weird, but almost 12 inches of snow and we feel like it was a dud.

Ian has been around and around packing out the trails. Parts of the trails are decent, and parts are really thin. Remember, we had no base to start with. This storm was light snow and packs down easily, leaving some areas thin (especially under the evergreens). We were just north of the large amounts of snow. But snow is snow and this gets us started.

Peregrine will ski the best. Woodcock and Turkey are ok. Snow Goose is thin, especially under the hemlocks. Middle and Upper Blue Jay, and Chickadee are closed waiting for more snow. Plan on no classic track, and the skating will be soft. There are a few rocks, stumps and sticks. BUT, we get to start skiing!
