Open, 13º at 6:30 am clear, blue sky. Forecast high today 29º and sunny. Low trails open and groomed with the PistenBully. Loose frozen granular snow, quick, skiable surface. This is also spring skiing, just cold spring skiing.

The Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine all groomed and ready to ski. Upper and Middle Blue Jay and Chickadee will be hard and fast today.

For the weekend, cold nights, warm days. All trails will be open. The skiing on Saturday and Sunday will be good, soft spring skiing. And the sap will run.

We boiled again last night. We made 4 and a half gallons of a nice medium A syrup. We will have syrup at the barn if you need to restock your supplies. I put up some half gallons, Karen and Donna, I know you’ve been waiting…… Mason jars are hard to come by this year, so we have been using cans. If you have any mason jars you don’t need, we will take them, wash them and reuse them.

Closed for the rainy day, season pass holders may ski.

Closed for the rainy day. (Season Pass Holders may ski.) The temperature at 7:30 am is 33º, and the sky is cloudy. The forecast high is 41º and we are suppose to have rain, changing to snow this evening. You all know how I feel about the “changing to snow” forecast. We do not ever get more than a few flakes to a dusting of snow.

Just a note! the photos are from yesterday, Wednesday, March 17, 2021. All the trails were open and the skiing was fabulous.

Again rain and 41º today. Tonight snow? and the temperature dropping to 15º. The forecast high for Friday is 30º and partly sunny. The plan for tomorrow, Friday, groom the low trails with the PistenBully using the plow and the tiller. The skiing will be loose granular and quick. Low trails only.

For this weekend, it looks like we will be able to be open! The sun is suppose to shine, the lows are below freezing, and the highs are 47º on Saturday and 55º on Sunday. We are hoping all trials open for the weekend. Good weather for spring skiing and good weather for the sap to run.

A nice day for a spring ski. Middle and Upper Blue Jay open too!

Open, 21º at 8 am, sunshine and blue sky. Forecast high 46º and mostly sunny. Today is good spring skiing with nice corn snow. Ian has been out grooming, and the temperatures and sun will warm up and soften the snow.

The Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine are all a good ski. Also open, Middle and Upper Blue Jay which were groomed yesterday afternoon while the snow was a little soft. Ian was scraping out the ruts and mixing the pine needles into the snow. He said they look good. He is going to take the snow mobile around the Chickadee after the temperature warms up a little, so the Chickadee will also be open, just a little later in the day. Ask if you are in have any questions.

Tomorrow, Thursday, we are expecting rain. If it really rains, we will be closed. Thursday night the low will be 15º and Friday the high is expected to be 29º. Friday we will be open, low trials only again, after Ian grooms everything with the PistenBully. The weekend looks like good spring skiing and sap running weather, sunshine on Saturday and Sunday.

Spring skiing, and the skiing is good

Open, 5º blue sky. Expected high 36º, becoming overcast during the afternoon. The low trails are open, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Turkey, Goshawk and Peregrine. Ian is out there grooming, and the skiing is nice.

The skiing yesterday was nice too, but the temperature and the wind were really cold. The photo above is from yesterday on the Snow Goose.

The wind today has died down, and temperature will be comfortable, with the softest snow in the middle of the day. Not too warm and not too cold. I am feeling a little fussy at this point in the winter.

Wednesday looks good, Thursday, not so much, if it really rains on Thursday we will be closed. Open again for the weekend.

The photo below is the snow stake on the Snow Goose, 22 inches of snow still out there.
