Open, 34º at 7 am and sunny, with high clouds. Forecast high today, 54º, clouds rolling in later. Skiing on corn snow, turning to mashed potatoes in the warm sun. All trails open, there are bare spots emerging here and there. The snow and the skiing change by the hour, variable conditions/spring skiing.

There may be some bare spots, and places where the snow is getting thin, but also watch for gray ice. The snow is getting dirty and tired. We haven’t had an inch of snow in March. And even with the shrinking snow pack the trails are still mostly covered.

The forecast for the next few days is not encouraging for good ski days. The end is near.

Bring on spring.

It will be a while before the crocuses bloom up here, we will take some color any way we can get it.
