Open, 26º and cloudy. Forecast for today, high 30º, snowflakes in the forecast. 1-2 inches of snow in the forecast for tonight.

The skiing on the Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, and Peregrine is loose and/or frozen granular. No ski tracks out there today. All trails groomed flat. Not too fast and not too slow. The longer trails need significant snow and they will be good to go again.

The photo below is on the Grouse this morning. While there are no ski tracks, there are animal tracks. And the birds are singing. We saw moose tracks in the mud down on the Snow Goose while we were shoveling on Sunday. No one has seen the otter slide tracks yet this year. This is about the time of year the otter slides down the brook along the Woodcock and Snow Goose. Let me know if you see any tracks!

Open, 7 km to start the day. Ask for updates.

Open, 27º at 7:00 am. 7 km open to start the day. Partly cloudy today and a high of 37º. Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey. Ask when you get here for updates. Decent skiing. Loose corn snow. Very skiable. We spent yesterday moving snow onto the trails, we were on skis and it was a good ski with some shoveling thrown in.

Photos are from yesterday. This is a work in progress. The first photo is after Ian shoveled snow onto the trail in front of the barn. The second photo is this morning, after Ian has started grooming.

The first photo is what most of the skiing looked/looks like. And the second photo is Heather pulling her scoop shovels.

And this is how the shoveler(s) left the trails for the groomer this morning. Most of the trails were good skiing. We shoveled onto a few thin spots and some slick spots. The skiing really will be ok today.

We are closed today, hoping to open tomorrow and praying for snow Monday night/Tuesday.

Closed. 32º this morning the temperature forecast for today is 38º, partly sunny.

The plan for today is for shoveling on the Turkey, Woodcock and Snow Goose. All shovelers welcome. Getting each trail open again as we can.

The forecast for Monday night Tuesday is for some snow. A couple of inches will help. Right now the forecast is for 1-3 Monday night and 1-3 Tuesday. In my dreams I dream of another big 2 or 3 foot snow. This photo is from years ago, taken by our friend Wilma D. Just a reminder of what a lot of snow looks like.

Closing for the day, due to muddy road and parking lot. (Hoping, just for the day.)

Closed, 31º at 7 am. Forecast for the day is 47º, again, with sun then rain.

We will evaluate again on Sunday morning. With colder temperatures, hopefully we can get something going. We will open again as quickly as we can.

The road is really muddy in one long spot and also in our parking lot. The photo is this morning of the one long spot and it is currently all frozen up and rutted. It will get pretty dicey during the middle of the day when it thaws. We are hoping we are not in a thunder storm path and that the rain is minimal. Stay tuned…
