Open, 23º and snowing. 2 inches of snow so far this morning. The forecast is for snow all day, high around 29º, changing to a wintry mix this evening. All trails are open, 22 km classic and 6 km skate. Great powdery skiing, we are out grooming, focusing on Woodcock/ Snow Goose and Chickadee. And, as of 8:30, no wind.
The sun was bright yesterday. Hurt your eyes, remember to put your sunglasses on, bright. Today you will want an outer layer that is water resistant. The skiing with this new snow on top will be really nice.
We have a wide range of ages working the pump track, 6 to 78. Wow! This track is fun! And with the fun the balance work and skills worked on are amazing! Thanks Ian for building more fun into skiing!
This track was spotted on Friday.
A nice fella spotted this track on Friday, the 8th, up on the Peregrine. This photo is from the 9th. The photo from the 8th was very fresh the claw marks were way sharper. He went back up there because I asked him for another photo with a mitten for size reference. So the sides of the track have softened a little. We are all guessing bear. When you look, think hind foot walking into the same track as the front foot.
