Lately I have been working on the perspective I choose to see from. Doesn’t matter what the subject is or what is happening around me. If I check in with my perspective I can, hopefully, see from a different angle, a different point of view. I have now added a question to myself to force me to be more specific. When, or as, or after I complain about something, anything. When I catch myself, I say to myself. The complaint just allowed you to be the victim. Or a victim. Take a deep breath and decide right in that breath I am not a victim. I do not need to be the victim.
- I do want to be more loving.
- I do want to be more kind.
- I do want to be more compassionate.
- I do not want or need to be a victim.
- One statement at a time. One breath at a time. That is my practice for today.
