We are closed today, rain.

Closed, 35º and rainy. 0.08 inches of rain overnight. The light rain will continue, changing to snow. The snow is supposed to add up.

I can only do my best to make a guess from the weather forecasts I’ve listened to. The weather channel says over 12 inches overnight and 3 to 5 tomorrow. We are in the 6 – 12 inch range in most other forecasts. And we all know they could be really wrong. Three years ago the forecast was for 20″ of snow and we go 6″ of sleet.

Of course we are hoping for the highest amount of snow the snow Gods bestow. Let it snow!

Skiing Saturday will feel perfect.

Please add me to Skiing News by email. I write a monthly article on cross country skiing destinations for the Keene Sentinel in Keene, NH. I’m hoping to do the next one on Wild Wings–we’ll hopefully be there on Sunday this weekend. We’ve skied at Wild Wings a dozen times and I particularly appreciate the thoroughness of your conditions updates.

You can see the two previous articles this year by going to the Keene Sentinel website–find ELF magazines. Articles in 16 December 21 issue on Pine Hill Ski Club in New London, NH and in 21 January issue on Shattuck Golf Course in Jaffrey, NH.

Thanks so much for maintaining one of the best nordic skiing venues in southern VT.
