The skiing is phenomenal. All trails are open and groomed, all trails have a classic track.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 17º. The forecast high for today is 31º, cloudy with a chance of a snow shower this afternoon.

All the trails are open, 25 km. The upper 15 km, Chickadee, Loon, Upper and Middle Blue Jay are set with a classic track. The lower 10 km, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine all have a classic track and a skate lane.

The skiing doesn’t really get any better. It is just about perfect. Above photos are Jon on the Chickadee and Ian in the Pisten Bully down by the barn. But, if the temperature gets warm enough, you may need Maxi Glide on no wax skis. Ask in the parking lot if you are unsure.

The woods are snowy and beautiful and quiet. The classic track and skate lane have set up nicely.

This weekend is busy, the parking lot will be full. Just remember the one-way trails. With the trails designed this way, you only see people at intersections, or if you pass them, or they pass you.

Andy and Izzy are skiing 50 km today. Give them a cheer as they ski by. They have miles to go before they sleep!

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening by Robert Frost

“Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep.”
