Open this morning, (keep reading), 31º at 6:30 am. Expected high 40º. Sun this morning and occasional showers during the afternoon. 25 km classic and 6 km skate, good soft spring skiing. All trails open and the skiing is really, really nice.
We are having a high school ski race this afternoon. We will close for the general public at noon. This afternoon will only be racers and Wild Wings season pass holders. We are trying to follow Covid guidelines from the State of Vermont and the Principal’s Association. Thanks for helping.
This morning we are open for everyone, we will be selling half day tickets and rentals for the morning. Wait and buy your tickets here, we want to make sure you only pay the partial day rate.
Here is the snow measuring tree on the Upper Blue Jay. Many years ago Dick marked this tree at one foot intervals with a chain saw in the fall. The top mark is 4 feet. So we are figuring 3 feet of snow up on the Upper Blue Jay and on the upper trails.

What a great ski I had yesterday! So quiet and peaceful in the woods.
There was a problem with sticky snow and I wasn’t the only one dealing with it. Lesson learned: listen to Wild Wings’ advice when given. When they say to use Maxi Glide, don’t assume the Maxi Glide you put on yesterday will do the job a second day!
