A little update as we head into winter. While we wait for some precipitation and colder temperatures we have taken advantage of beautiful, lovely, sunny days, and have accomplished quite a bit.
The first photo above is a culvert installation on Waite’s Place Loop. That spot was always wet, and 30 feet of 10 inch culvert should keep the ground dry and the water moving.
The next two photos are a little reroute on the back side of the Grouse. Ian and Chuck moved the trail up out of the brook with a little swirl of ski. This new piece is about 150 yards long and it is going to be a fun ski!
Ian has worked with the excavator on the Chickadee. While Chuck cut the downed trees on the Middle and Upper Blue Jay. (There is already another tree to remove on the Middle Blue Jay.) My job this week; using the leaf blower to clean out ditches, and blow out culverts. Blowing out culverts is surprisingly satisfying. And after Dick finished weed eating and cleaning up the Loon, and he has gone behind Ian and tidied up after the excavator.
The list goes on and on, with plenty to keep us busy.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I really miss seeing u guys and skiiing there. You were always so helpful. My health unfortunately does not permit me to enjoy that anymore, but I surely have many wonderful memories. When there has been enough snow for u to be open, my husband Nate still likes to ski there. It surely looks like u all are doing a fantastic job getting ready for the season. Wishing you all the best. Pam Lassman
