Nothing out there a foot of snow wouldn’t fix.

Closed, 21º at 1:30pm, windy and partly cloudy. The temperature was 53º at 5am. Quite a drop. We did get a dusting of snow this morning.

Ian and Audrey spent time on the snow machine this morning, shoveling and scarring the formation of ice. Ian is in the snow cat now pushing snow around. The forecast for tomorrow morning is 1-3 inches of snow. That would make a world of difference.

It rained, hard. And the wind comes and goes. We need it to dry out and we need a little snow.

This photo is in the backyard.

Right now we just need patience. Let it dry out and see how many snowflakes fall and then we can move forward.

We will be closed on Friday. And reassess on Saturday morning.

Closed, 46º at 4pm, cloudy. Wind and rain are predicted late this afternoon and tonight.

We had 12km of skiing open today. Corn snow, spring skiing. Variable conditions.

The forecast is not great. And it is made worse because we don’t have a couple feet of snow on the ground to absorb the rain and to work with after the weather event is over.

The cute kids in the photo above, Zoe and Catie, are holding a kids cross country ski camp. It is next week, February 23,24, and 25th from 10am to 12pm, 1st thru 3rd grade. They will hold it even if there isn’t skiing. They told me “dryland” which means fun and games. It is $25 per kid per day. And the details are here. Two spots left for Wednesday and Thursday. And four spots on Friday.

Loose granular thru Thursday. Keep reading.

Open, 37º at 3pm and partly cloudy. Thursday we will still be open and the skiing in the morning will still be decent loose granular snow.

The Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine are open.

I have turned off the online store. Just waiting out the weather. Looks like Friday is iffy and we won’t know about Friday and the weekend – until Friday .

12 km of loose granular, good skiing.

Open, -2º and clear, blue sky. Forecast high 20º and mostly sunny.

12 km open, loose frozen granular. Good skiing. Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine.

For info on Zoe and Catie’s kid ski camp, check this list.https://wildwingsski.com/category/special-events/

Skiing today and Wednesday look good. Thursday, I think we will be open, check before driving up. And then we will see what happens after this next storm. The four letter “R” word is in the forecast. The “R” word is why I love 0º over 32º any day.

For the next two days. A loose frozen granular base. The temperature will be warmer today, so in general a nicer day to be outside. We will take what we have while we have it! Jumping for joy with our love of winter.
