A beautiful day for a spring ski.

Open, 26º, partly sunny at 7am and the sun is shining. High today 47 and sunny. We are open today 9 – 5.

All trails open, it is really fast early this morning. There will be a sweet timing spot where it will be just right, maybe 10-12:00? And then the sun and temperature will make the snow soft and slow. We never know the exact time it will be best for you, that’s just part of spring skiing.

The frost is coming out of the road slowly. That doesn’t mean the road isn’t affected. It is pot holed, and wash boarded. There are ruts. Drive slow. Aim high, and don’t stop.

Grooming is at groomers discretion for the rest of the week. Our season is winding down. We will be open thru Thursday. Friday and Saturday look to be rainy, if so, we will be closed. Sunday is undecided. Once we close, season pass folks can come and ski, we won’t be around.

Skiing on 1 inch of snow/wet sleet- pretty darn good spring skiing

Open, 33º, partly sunny at 7am and windy. High today 39 and windyº.

Corn snow skiing. Low trails Woodcock, Snow Goose and Turkey groomed with snow cat. Skiing is good spring skiing. Chickadee and Blue Jay, corn snow spring skiing. Overall a pretty decent day.

This is what today looks like now!

We will be open this week day to day depending on the weather. If it rains check before driving out here.

Good fast skiing this morning. Slowing down when the snow starts falling.

Open, 22º, partly sunny at 7am. High today 33º and some snow late morning.

All trails open. The lower 10 km: Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, and Peregrine groomed with the snow cat and tiller last night. Chickadee groomed last night with the snow machine. Skiing is fast, but skiable early. After the snow starts the skiing will slow down.

Skiing on loose granular is fun and quick. It is the kind of snow good skiers love and some beginners find too fast.

Photo from this morning;

Snow is forecast to start around 11 am. 1 to 3 inches of snow, changing to mix/rain late this afternoon.

Loose granular, great track, great spring skiing.

Open, 30º, cloudy. High today 39º and some sun.

10 km groomed and lovely, loose, granular surface. Where Ian has been with the snow cat the skiing is excellent.

The Chickadee would be a good ski after the sun hits it or the temperature gets in the high 30’s.

The snow cat, AKA Pisten Bully, AKA the big groomer, AKA the machine that does it all. We have used this machine so often this year. It has been Ian’s go to. It grooms deep snow, it tills up hard snow and leaves a skiable track and surface. Hats off to our Pisten Bully!

Today is day 70 of this ski season. It really has turned into a great season. We have had 2 major storms, December 18th and March 12th. And in between there were many 2 inch snows. Two different times we moved snow banks onto the trails with all sorts of heavy equipment. We have shoveled snow onto and off of the trails. All in all we have had a lot of good skiing. We are coming toward the finish line for this season. Don’t wait too long to ski.
