closed for a couple days, we will open ASAP

Closed. December 24th, 25th, and quite possibly the 26th, hopefully we will get going again after that. Check here for updates.

The weather forecast for the next 2 days is not good. Warm weather, rain, and wind.

We will be closed due to warm weather, then rain and the wind. No you can not come ski. It makes big holes and ruts and then it is hard to fix the base going forward.

Take the day off. Enjoy whatever is happening where you are. Take a walk, but please don’t come here until we say we are open again.

Until then here are a of couple photos of some happy skiers from December 23rd.

And Still Today Good Skiing

ra-5a4bd91746f71523

Open, 19º at 7am and partly cloudy. Forecast high 30º and cloudy.

Today the skiing is still really good. Fresh snow, packed powder and the skiing is good.

BUT, we will be CLOSED Thursday and Friday, the 24th and 25th of December. We will reassess on Saturday and let you know how we weather the warm rainy weather.

We will get open again as quickly as we can.

Covid times, when you come here. Please fill out your contact tracing form online.

A mask is required in the parking lot and at the base area.

Please keep you distance from other people.

And last if you don’t feel well, stay home.

The photo at the top of the page is thanks to Jeanie, a season pass holder for many! years. Last summer she moved to Burlington and she a Mike drove down yesterday for a ski with friends. Jeanie arrived at 1pm and skied all the trails. Nice to see old friends.

And below, two cuties eating their lunch, in the snow, smiling and laughing. They skied about 3 hours. Being flexible and figuring it out in COVID times. (The hardest part of their picnic was protecting their food from Ruby.)

Hurry And Ski

ra-5a4bd91746f71523

Open, 22º. Expected high today 32º with snow showers possible this morning. (Which means waxless skis need Maxiglide)

All trails are open. The skiing is good.  The base changed yesterday from packed powder to hard pack.

Ian is in the groomer on the low trails.

The photo above is from up on the roof. Shoveling roofs is important right now……

because,

warm weather is expected on Thursday and Friday, along with some rain. We are anticipating being closed on Thursday and Friday, the 24th and 25th. We will be accessing the situation and get open again ASAP.

Larger groups. Call ahead. Tell parking lot attendant your group size. Wait at your car until you have permission to go in to get rentals. You will not all be able to go to the barn at the same time. Do not congregate in your large group, maintain social distance, for the sake of other guests. If you aren’t sure what to do, wait at your car and ask the parking lot attendant.

I know this doesn’t sound perfect, but we are trying really hard to make the ski experience safe and pleasant. Our staff, and all customer safety is our top priority.  We are following the State of Vermont protocols. We must follow these protocols to stay open. Please help us.

On a lighter note, this is how excellent the skiing is.

I can’t get my heels up when I double pole. I think he is channeling his inner Sophie!!
