We have been pretty spoiled this winter. Cold temperatures and snow means the skiing has been consistent. And this year that happened to be consistently good.
But the warm temperatures on Saturday causes everything to change. The skiing is faster now that the temperature is cold. I hear people say they loved the skiing so much today, they skied the Loon twice. And I hear people say that down hill was fast and scary. So here I am stuck in the middle trying to explain to you how your day will go. I don’t know, depends on your ability. It depends on where you decide to ski. It depends on which skis you choose to ski on today. Fatter wider skis will be slower. You might need that. So make good choices.
The low trails will be the easiest skiing for Monday. He spent a lot of time on the Chickadee last night with a groomer, and it will be good skiing for some people.
As always your decisions affect you ski experience.
Spring skiing is variable. South facing slopes get soft sooner, and shady trails will be faster.

The snow gods have smiled upon us this year. Anything we get now is all bonus. As long as my elder body holds up, I’ll take it. Thanks for making the most of whatever we get.
