Open, -0º at 7am. 2 inches of new snow yesterday. With an expected high of 19º. Clear skies, beautiful stars and a pink sunrise. Really, really good skiing today. Ian said Friday was as good as it gets and today is a repeat. The cold temperature this morning means cold, squeaky, slow snow.
Really great skiing on the Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine.
Remembering how to dress for success on cold days. Dry everything! No sweaty socks. Mittens are warmer than gloves. Neck gaiter and hood. Wind layers on the outside. And this is the sport that gets your blood moving and you will warm up just from skiing.
