Open at 9 am. The temperature at 7 am is 12º the skies are clear, and the sunrise was beautiful in it’s subtlety. We had an inch of snow over night and snow flakes were even falling this morning with clear sky.
Skiing on the Low Trails, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine is really good. The track is set nicely, the skate lane is firm and then on top is an inch of fluffy snow. The photo above is this morning on the Grouse.
Chickadee and Upper Blue Jay are groomed flat. They do not have enough snow to set a track. There are a few places with thin cover, and the natural topography of the land is apparent. One customer was not happy at all with her experience up there. The side hill was slippery and there were no tracks for her skis. Hilary skied it yesterday and the day before and said it was great, serene, the skiing is good. And now you know how my job becomes hard. I try to pass on other peoples experience. And now you have to decide, to do or not to do.
