Good hard pack mid winter skiing with some spring sun thrown in.

Open, 6º at 6:30 am and a beautiful sunrise to start this sunny day. Forecast for the day, 26º with sun and a few clouds. The groomers are out and it is good hard pack skiing, all trails open. Ian is grooming Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine. Jonathan is on the Chickadee and Uppers.

The light this morning made it easy to run out and get a photo of the sunrise. This picture is on the top of the first hill on the Peregrine.

We still have a lot of snow on the ground. This is the stake in the backyard:

There is also a stake on the Upper Blue Jay, close to Dick’s tree with the marks. And a stake way out on the Snow Goose. Get a photo of one or both and share with me.

Skiing looks good through most of this week. Skiing looks good for the next few days based on the weather forecast. We may have to be closed Thursday and Friday because of warm temperatures at night and we will make a decision based on the condition of our dirt/muddy road at the end of the week. I’ll let you know.

Big thank you to Ian for deciding to groom snowgoose for skate skiing!! It really was effortless!
