Closed, 33º, 4 inches of snow on the ground, and shrinking. There are a few spots on the trails that are really low snow, but as of this morning we still have the 3 to 4 inches of snow left for base.

But, WE NEED SNOW to fall from the clouds. Cold temperatures are in the forecast at least and then we need to eek out an inch here and there. And inch a day and we would be open in a week. A dump of snow would be lovely but an inch a day, well, in a week we’d be ok.

A few of my ideas to get the snow falling. We will start sawing on our wood pile, get into a bridge project, buy new ice skates, not buy a snow shovel or snow blower. Do a snow dance, say a snow prayer. Your ideas and help are welcome with this “get the snow falling project”!

And in the mean time, when it is cold enough and the ice is safe, a little pond hockey!
