The skiing is still wonderful.

Open, 7º at 6 am, 1.5 inches of snow yesterday. Clear skis. this morning. Forecast today, sun and clouds, 19º.

The skiing is wonderful again today. All trails open, 25 km classic and 6 km skate. The skiing/weather gods seem to know we need to be outside in fresh air with great snow. Boreas is the Greek god of the cold north wind and the bringer of the winter. Welcome Boreas we are happy you are here and we hope you stay a while longer.

I have been considering hosting a snow plow, going downhill clinic. Please let me know if you think this would be something you would like to see happen. My idea is- an instructor, on a hill shouting out cues and advice. I am looking for a bull horn. Skiers going down the hill, getting “yelled at” by said instructor, and then skiing around the field and down the hill again. I will pick a time, and you would have to show up when it is happening. This clinic would be no cost, mask required, instructor giving you pointers clinic. Let me know, if you think you would like to participate in something like this. I will be working on the details.

Skiing is perfect, again.

Open, 13º, and overcast. Forecast today, high 26º and 1 inch of snow.

The skiing is perfect. Great temperature, great snow, great grooming.

All trails are open, 25 km classic, 6 km skate.

This next photo Ian took while grooming the Chickadee. Just because a trail is open doesn’t mean you should ski it:

The longer harder trails do require you to have a strong snowplow. The way to improve your snowplow is to practice. And practicing while skiing an actual trail is difficult. Practice here at the base area. If you don’t know where to practice, ask one of us. We do have an instructor today. She has an opening at 11 am, or 1 pm. First phone call gets the lesson. All lessons are private, due to Covid.

Miles of smiles:

Sparkle in the eyes.

Great skiing and tired, happy skiers.

A gloriously, perfect, sublime day for a ski!

First, Fresh Tracks. Thanks Ian!!!

We do anticipate quite a few skiers. If you want to avoid the crowd, get here early. You can purchase passes online and pick them up in the parking lot. You can purchase passes and rentals online, which does speed up the rental process. We can also take care of pass purchases in the parking lot. And we can process rentals and passes purchases in the rental shop. If you fill out your contact tracing form before you get here that helps A LOT!

Great day for a Friday ski, all you have to do is get here.

Open, 22º and partly cloudy. We are expecting snow this morning, 1-3 inches, and a temperature of 38º. Clearing skis this afternoon. And a temperature of 18º overnight.

Ian is out grooming and cleaning up. By the time you get here there will be fresh snow falling, the skiing is wonderful, snow globe effect will be happening.

The temperature will be around 32º with fresh snow—-if you have no wax skis you will need Maxiglide, or Swix F4, tip to tail.

This is Martha (above). Martha skis a lot. Martha was attempting to ski, laugh, smile and put her mask on. And Martha went down laughing, and smiling! Then put her mask on. And Martha said the skiing is magical.

Great skiing and lots of smiles.

More Swix gloves and lobster mittens, and red mittens. Some mid weight and some light weight. If you need new gloves, mittens, or split mittens, get here soon for a better selection of sizes.
