Snow is, of course, the best choice, but sleet is second best. We will be skiing on the snow as is. No grooming today. We will groom after the temperatures cool back down.

We are jumping into the next storm. The forecast is for snow starting late today today, less than an inch, 25º. Overnight 5 to 8 inches of snow, 21º. Tuesday, mixed precipitation, 34º. Another storm expected Thursday night.

Outside is the place to be. Fresh air and exercise, by yourself, or the whole family. I often get asked about getting little kids on skis. The answer is YES!!! Get them out here, put in the time, while they are small. This family has put in the hours with the kids playing on skis. And 2nd and 4th grader now ski the Chickadee/Loon regularly.

The skiing is perfect, it has been perfect. The snow is lovely, the grooming is great and the temperatures are ideal.

We have a few 1 hour lesson spots open 3:00pm today, or open times on Sunday. Call the shop, 802-824-6793 before 10:30 this morning, or after 3:00 this afternoon.

On busy days, the ticket booth is out and if you need a pass, paid for here or online, you can pick up the pass at the ticket booth in the parking lot. If you need passes and rentals, you will go to the barn, and wait outside. Please space yourself safely from other parties.

Masks are required around the base/parking lot area and when maintaining social distancing is difficult.

****Please note Jud will be giving mini lesson pointers in the field by the barn between 1 and 1:30pm. These little pointer clinics are for experienced skiers, not beginners. Throw him some cash for a beer.
