Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6:30 am is 5º. The forecast high is 27º, sun then clouding up with snow overnight becoming a wintery mix.

The skiing today is still as close to perfect as you can get. All trails open, so another day to ski all trails.

If the weather forecast is correct and we get snow that turns to ice with the possibility of rain we will not groom on Thursday. For the long game it is better for the snow to absorb the wet precipitation. We will be open, we just won’t groom.

We do have the Skida Heart String hats in stock. Great Valentines present. Get ’em while you can.

Ian groomed the low trails last night, the skiing is as close to perfect as we can get. What a great winter we are having!

“One day, ski all the trails.” There are 5 names on the board, one of the skier is 12 and one 84. G did all the trails on Sunday, and Dick did all the trails on Monday. Today and tomorrow will still be perfect for a ski all trails day.

Thursday looks a like it won’t be as fabulous. Snow, wintery mix, the “r” word. But we will come out the other side with great skiing. We have enough snow to use the tiller on the snow cat, and it gives us really good skiing. Thursday will just be a blip.

And today………..

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 7 am is 19º, with an expected high of 23º.

The skiing is/will be as close to perfect as it gets. The snow is soft. The trails are packed powder. The tracks are beautiful, the skate lane is good but a little soft.

We have snow, 25-30” in the woods. This feels like a good old fashion winter. We have snow banks. We are shoveling roofs. We are wading through deep snow around the house, wishing we had put on snow shoes. And more snow is on the way.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6:30am is 18º, the forecast high is 26º A cloudy day ahead with some snow showers.

We have 8.4 inches of new snow this morning. Ian is in the PistenBully on the low trails. Classic skiing will be great, still a little soft. Skate skiing will be soft and slow today. It takes time for new snow to set up. Jonathan is on a snow machine up on the upper trails. The skiing will be amazing. The sparkly, snow globe world is incredible today. The woods will be quiet, lovely, and slow. The photo above is from this morning, Ian had been though with a groomer, you just can’t tell in the photo with such flat light.
