Rain this morning, changing to snow. And the snow is forecast to add up overnight.

Closed, 35º and rainy. 8/100 of an inch of rain overnight. The light rain will continue, changing to snow. The snow is suppose to add up.

I can only do my best to make a guess from the weather forecasts I’ve listened to. The weather channel says over 12 inches overnight and 3 to 5 tomorrow. We are in the 6 – 12 inch range in most other forecasts. And we all know they could be really wrong. Three years ago the forecast was for 20″ of snow and we go 6″ of sleet.

Of course we are hoping for the highest amount of snow the snow Gods bestow. Let it snow!

And here are a few ski photos just to keep you going until tomorrow.

Great skiing. Feb. 2 is the day, do you have 1/2 your wood left?

Open, 18º at 7am partly cloudy sky with a very red/pink, beautiful sunrise. The forecast high today is 37º.

All trails open, 25 km of really good skiing. 25 km classic and 10 km skate.

The forecast is for a mix of rain, ice, sleet and snow. The forecast is an educated best guess. Check here in the morning and see what is happening, or has happened. I will let you know as soon as I can what is up.

Looks like by late Friday and Saturday morning we will be grooming and getting you skiing asap.

Have you been looking? I now have photo proof of a second ornament on the Chickadee.

It is 4º, and I am singing We’re Having A Heat Wave….

Open, 4º and clear beautiful starry skies at 6am. Forecast high a balmy 27º, and mostly sunny.

The skiing really wonderful. The tracks are great, the skate lane is really nice. 25 km open, 25 km classic and 10 km skate.

There are shows going on in the woods. The trees, the shadows, the animal tracks. Look around, pay attention. Especially with the weather warming up for a few days, the animals will be moving and leave you tracks to find and look at. You might even see some scat. In the last month, out on the Chickadee we have had word of a porcupine sighting and a fisher cat sighting.

The weather forecast. We aren’t talking about that yet. Yes, there is some precipitation coming and we have our fingers crossed for snow!!! Wonderful, fluffy, lovely fresh snow.

All trails open, the skiing is amazing.

Open, 1º, clear skies for the day. The expected high 24º. All trails open, 25 km. 25 km classic and 10 km skate. The skiing is really good and even amazing!

The group skied the Chickadee. Wow! They were happy. Ryder was able to wear is his new sweatshirt, and stay warm. You can click on the image to increase the size and checkout the sweatshirt, there are some left.

All trails we groomed yesterday the skiing is anywhere from really, really good to amazing. I heard so many “amazing” comments in the parking lot. We love our jobs when we have enough snow and everything lines up to have all the trails open and the skiing is great!

Dick skied with the group yesterday up above. And he was able to show Ian is favorite tree of the moment. Look for it up above and let me know if you spot it. And to whoever put the ornament up, thanks for the smiles.
