2.2 inches of snow!!!!!

Open, 22º at 7 am,. Cloudy to start the day. The temperature will drop all day and we might see some sun.

All trails open except Loon. 2.2 inches of snow last night on the hard pack surface.

Who would have thought I’d be jumping up and down happy to have 2.2 inches of straight, old, cold snow? Well I am. This year has been hard. The snow has been wet. It is hard to work with and not as much fun as some nice 20º snow.

Grooming report. All lower trails groomed with Pisten Bully and tiller yesterday morning. Chickadee was groomed yesterday afternoon, now has 2.2 inches of new snow. He went around and around to get a smooth base. Upper and Middle Blue Jay were groomed on Sunday morning, now with new snow on top.

So all in all a pretty good day for a ski.

Hard pack base with a loose frozen granular surface, 10 km groomed again this morning.

Open, 27º at 7 am. Cloudy to start the day. Forecast temperature 32º and light snow possible.

Hard pack surface with a loose frozen granular top. Ian is in the snow cat grooming the low trails, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Peregrine. The skiing is the kind of fast that makes some people happy, and some people not happy.

You will only want to be skiing where is has been groomed with the snow cat.

I think you better start your snow dances again!

And don’t forget it is fun to ski with friends.

A little spring skiing.

This is the downhill on the Grouse, photo taken 1, 29, 2023.

Open, 20º at 6:30am and cloudy. Forecast; cloudy, high of 41º, maybe a shower around 2pm.

Ok skiing, harder and faster than yesterday. Woodcock and Snow Goose might be the way to go today.

Middle and Upper Blue Jay are good, but you need a strong snow plow. Chickadee is close today.

Reports from skiers today, fast and beautiful.

Yesterday was also a great day for friends!

A great day for a ski!

Tracks are in.

Open, 24º at 7am with a dusting of snow. Forecast for a little more snow this morning, then partly sunny and 34º. 17 km open to start the day, Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk, Snow Goose, Peregrine and Chickadee. Grooming is still going on, check for updates on trails when you arrive.

We have a hard pack surface with a dusting of snow. We are expecting a little more snow this morning. The temperature is then going to 34º, which is a lovely temperature, but means waxless, fish scale skis will need Maxiglide. (If you don’t know what this is ask when you get here.)

The skiing is pretty darn nice.
