Due high temperatures for the next 36 hours, we are closing Thursday and Friday. We will reassess and hope to open again on Saturday.

We will be closed Thursday and Friday, shoveling our little selves crazy. With some luck and a whole lotta work, we hope to be open again soon. Wishing for Saturday.

Ian started shoveling yesterday afternoon. He is planning to shovel large snow piles of snow onto the trails, leave it until the temperatures go down. Then using the Pisten Bully push the snow around, groom it all again, and hope we can keep some skiing open.

The calender says February, the weather is screaming March.

Open, 29º and partly sunny. Forecast high 50º. All trails open and it is classic spring skiing. No new grooming for today. Fast early and late, slow during the middle of the day, a few slushy spots. Variable conditions, slow in the sun, fast in the shade.

And someone on Valentines day celebrated with a beautiful red rose on the Chickadee. And one of our dear friends captured the shot for us!!!! Lots of snow reported up high, after the first bare uphill on the Chickadee. A few brown / thin / bare spots starting to show here and there.

Thank you for sharing!

Skiing on Tuesday, view from the Peregrine.

1.8 inches of snow overnight. All trails are open.

This morning headed down the field.

Open, 31º at 7 am, and 1.8 inches of new snow.

All trails are open!!! Yes, Chickadee and Loon too!

The new snow will slow the skiing down this morning. Bring the Maxi glide, your skis will probably need it when the sun comes out. If you don’t know what Maxi glide is, ask.

Today is the 35 day of skiing this season. We are open today and Wednesday, Thursday is unknown, and then we are day-to-day. It is possible we might not make it through the next warm rainy spell.

Another springy day. Fast early and late, slower in the morning.
