Ian groomed last night. Ten km groomed and ready to ski; Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. He was on Chickadee yesterday with a machine. Check in today to see if Chickadee gets open.

Ski each of the next 4 days if you can manage it. The forecast for today is perfect, 20º a little windy, great skiing. Saturday, 27º, cloudy, snow showers in the morning. Snow overnight on Saturday. Sunday, 37º, snow showers. Sunday will be the Maxiglide day, again. Monday looks good for skiing too.

Sarah and Eric had a great ski yesterday and sent me some photos. I love getting everyone’s photos. Thank you Sarah and Eric for sharing. Days like yesterday are magical. The photos below are what the trails looked like during the snow on Thursday.

Open, 25º at 7 am. 3.5 inches of snow overnight. We are expecting today to be snowy and breezy.

Ten km open, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. Ian will be on or in a machine, out and about working on trails. The snow is sparkly and beautiful. The woods are quiet. Watch for animal tracks crossing trails. Another good day to be outside.

This storm has been a little underwhelming. But……..we will take every flake we can get and smile about it. We will take every ski day we get and be grateful. With that being said, skiing looks good through Sunday, the 8th. The weather is going to warm up and the 4 letter “r” word is in the forecast. We won’t stay open during rainy weather next week. Just a heads up. The skiing is really nice right now.

Open, 13º at 6 am, 1/2 inch of new snow overnight as the temperature dropped.

Skiing on 10km. The lower trails, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Peregrine, and Goshawk. Skiing is good.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for late today and tonight. My phone is telling me 4 to 9 inches of snow and wind. We love winter and winter weather.

Ian has been working on the snow cat tracks and he will have that done today. He and Chuck have to get a plow on the 4 wheeler. Andy has the downed trees sawed on the Chickadee. A wet spot to fix on the Chickadee. Some work to do before it snows. We’ll get there.

And for today, skiing helps people smile.

I love this kind of boring weather. Snow and cold are the best combination. I would love this weather for the whole winter!

The weather looks good though the weekend. With a storm watch for Wednesday night/Thursday. New snow and cold for the weekend. Great skiing! BUT, warming up just enough for the 4 letter r word to creep in early next week. On any day next week that we have rain we will be closed. In other words, pay attention to the weather and the ski reports and ski as many days in the next 5 days that you can.
