Open at 9 am. The early morning temperature is -3º. The forecast high for today is 20º. Sunny early, clouding up later in the day, with snow overnight. 10 km of really nice skiing. Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine.

Catie named this part of Peregrine “Magic Forest” when she was 5 and made the sign. The name is spot on. It is magical on that part of Peregrine. Or maybe just being outside and stopping to enjoy all the magic nature has to offer is the magical part. We are so fortunate to live in the magic. Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is -3º. The forecast high today is 8º. The sky is clear. The sun, blue sky and dry snow will make for a winter wonderland. Sparkly and beautiful. And the skiing is amazing too.

Those are today’s tracks. (today’s photos) The skate lane is hard. Beautiful. A work of art. Wow. What a ski it will be. But is won’t be fast. Cold snow is slow.

And speaking of cold. Layers. No cotton. Dry socks. Something around your neck and ears. A hat. Wool or Polypro layers. Mittens not gloves. Ya’ll own the warm clothes, they may be deep in the drawer. Dig them out and the skiing will be well worth it. Dry to start out and put on dry again for the ride home. Oh, and eat enough food.

Open at 9 am. The temperature is 16º at 6 am. 2.1 inches of snow overnight. Forecast high 17º, cloudy, occasional snow showers. Skiing in fresh snow makes people smile.

Low trails are open, 10 km. Turkey, Grouse, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. The skiing is really good, except for a thin spot here and there. If you want a shoveling assignment, see Ian. Ian and his side kick shoveler will be out and about, working on low spots. If they are on a machine, step to one side as they pass.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 7 am is 20º. The sky is cloudy and snow is in the forecast. Ten km of trails open. Late night grooming equals a beautiful skiing surface. Skate lane is moderately firm. Tracks look good. The three photos are from 6:45 this morning. Not much light, but the skiing looks good.

The weather forecast……..today high of 25º and snow showers. Tonight 16º and snow showers. Saturday, high of 18º cloudy and some snow showers. Saturday night 0º. Sunday 10º, partly cloudy. Sunday night -6º. Monday high 19º.

Really good ski weather coming up. Dress smart. Layers. No cotton. Hat and a neck warmer. Mittens, not gloves. Dry socks before you go out. Your feet sweat even if you don’t realize it.
