Skiing is today and has been fantastic. The fun level is high!

We are in for a weather change, I will update here. If it is raining or too wet we will be closed to try to preserve the precious base.

Open today 9-4. The temperature at 6 am is 5º. The forecast for the day is in the high 20ºs. 10 km of really good hard pack skiing. Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine.

We are having so much fun here!!!!! The skiing, the sledding, the family, the friends.

But! Enjoy the next two or three days. Looks like we have some rough weather coming in. As in weather that doesn’t give perfect ski day. The four letter “r” word is in the forecast for late Saturday, Sunday and maybe Monday. So ski it while you can! Today and Friday are close to as good as it gets on our lower trails.

What about the upper trails? Unfortunately, we need a good dump of snow to get up there. The terrain is rough and water seeps out of the ground in many places. There are many bare/wet patches. So pray for snow!!

Open today 9 am to 4 pm. The temperature a 6:30 am is 13º. The forecast high today is 24º, partly cloudy this morning, sun later in the day. The skiing is really, really nice. Good, solid track, with a firm skate lane. 10 km open, Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine.

And the photos, top right photo, is Catie’s science teacher. He was gifted new skis for Christmas, skied 3 hours on Christmas Eve morning and the smile was ear to ear. Grooming from this morning. The snow cat makes really nice corduroy. Looking good out there.

The woods are quiet, the snow is lovely. Wow, what a day.
