Jamie’s quote about their ski on Chickadee, “The snow on Waite’s Loop was velvety and the sun warm.” Hilary said the Chickadee was way better than “just ok”. Quiet and serene were two words bantered about.

Conditions are also good for watching for animal tracks. Watch for the squirrel hole on Snow Goose, the little guy has a whole pile of cast off pine nut casings. They work hard for that little bit of food. Fresh snow and warmer temperatures will have animals moving around and leaving their tracks for us to see.

We’d like to announce the shoveling team has done it! The Chickadee is open. Total km now open, 16.5. Most of Chickidee is A-OK. But there are a few thin spots, and the snow is not deep enough to set tracks. If you spot a member of the Shoveling Dream Team, tell them thanks!
