Open at 9 am. The temperature at 1 pm is 20º. Two inches of snow overnight and this morning. Beautiful, light, fluffy snow!

All trails are open. Ian groomed the lower trails last night. And then it snowed. What a great problem! Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine. 10 km with a nice track and a good firm skate lane.

Chickadee, Loon, Upper and Lower Blue Jay, 15 km, are open groomed, a track in some places. They are groomed flat and now with 2 inches of powder on top. Icing on the cake. Lots and lots, many people are loving the skiing up there. Also, there are a few folks who have not liked the skiing up there. Choose wisely.

The website server was down this morning. The server is in California. We are trying to be patient, and just be happy when it works.

From yesterday.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 7 am is 5º. The forecast for today is 23º. Downright balmy.

Skiing is great all trails are open. The low trails have a beautiful track and a nice firm skate lane. The upper trails, people who are good skiers are telling me they are great, really good, etc, you get the picture. More timid or insecure skiers are less likely to be happy up there. Choose wisely.

The trick today is to not over dress. So put on layers, makes it easier to take something off.

Open at 9 am. The temperature at 7 am is -8º. And on this brisk morning the sun is shining and the sun rise beautiful. It is crisp and the snow is creaky. Cold snow is slow snow. The forecast high for today is a balmy 12º.

The hard pack base has a great track and really good skate lane. Ian cleaned up around the barn last night and re-groomed the Turkey and Grouse. Above is grooming last night. So nice to have enough snow when the temperatures are low to use the big machine with good heat. 10 km open for classic and skate, low trails. Chickdee, Loon, and Upper Blue Jay a little bumpier, but a great ski for a stronger skier.

The skiing is fabulous. 20.5 km open. Tips for dressing to be warm in cold weather;

Layers. Dry socks, when you get here, right before you ski. No cotton. Wear a neck warmer. Hood. Mittens, not gloves. Hand warmers before you get too cold. A dry shirt to wear home, I promise, it is worth changing.
