Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 16º. The forecast high is 16º, the sun is suppose to work it’s way out.

2.3 inches of new snow, mostly overnight. All trails open. The “storms” this winter have under performed. But, we have come out of every snowfall with a net gain The net gain, along with a whole bunch of shoveling has allowed for good skiing on all trails. Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk, and Peregrine are really good skiing today. Chickadee, Upper and Lower Blue Jay are open with good skiing, but have no extra snow to fill in humps and bumps. The trails follow the natural topography of the land and if you are a strong skier, it is a great, fun ski. Choose wisely.

Today is a great day to ski. New snow and moderate temperatures. Sunday we have a kids ski race in the morning. Ski today or ski Sunday afternoon, to avoid the being in the middle of the kids race.

Skiing is good. Will be the best early.

Open at 9 am. The skiing is really nice. Skiing early will be the best skiing of the day. The low trails were groomed last night, photos above. The Chickadee was groomed yesterday morning. The skiing on Upper and Lower Blue Jay is really nice. Basically, it is just a nice morning for a ski.

Photo of Waite’s Loop from yesterday afternoon.

Snow/mix are in the forecast for today. Just depends on when the cold air from the north meets the moisture from the south.

From the National Weather Service-this is the coldest January since 1988. Just to put that is perspective quickly, Ian was 11 months old and being pulled in a sled, or backpacked. And now look at that grooming. This is his grooming job from last night!

All trails open.

The photo above is from yesterday morning about 10 am. By noon this was all covered with an inch of new snow. And this base covered with new and wind blown snow is the surface we are skiing on today. Today Ian wants to pick up sticks and twigs.

Skiing will be good, on a windblown powdery track and skate lane on the lower trails. The upper trails are packed and tracked and with a little new/windblown snow.

All reports back yesterday were good skiing.

From this morning.

The temperature is going to 32 º today, so if you have warless skis you will need Maxiglide. Ask when you get here if you don’t know.
