Closed. 20º and waiting. We will open the second we have enough snow and can get some trails packed out. Remember, snow does not fall from the sky groomed. We are all waiting, waiting, waiting.
Here is what I saw in the woods on Friday, January 5th.
Above, mudsicles, a good, good sign. The temperatures are cold and the ground is freezing.
Number 2, moose tracks, the raised leaf litter are moose foot prints.
Number 3, that is how much snow was on the top of the Upper Blue Jay.
And number 4, a nice gray pile of coyote scat.
