Open and really good skiing. The tracks went in! They look great! They feel great! 2.5 inches of snow yesterday, grooming last night. Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, and Peregrine groomed and a great ski. You will need maxiglide on waxless skis.
Open. 2.1 inches of snow overnight. Skiing on the low trails. Turkey, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine. New snow, great base, great powdery skiing. Extra blue wax.
Open and skiing on the lower trails. We have 10km open. Green trails, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Blue trails, Grouse, Goshawk and Peregrine. The snow ground up nicely to a sugary, frozen granular. It is very skiable. And even being very skiable it will be fast. Please ski within your ability.
25º at 7am. Partly cloudy, forecast high 40º. The ground is mostly snow free. Today is a good day to cut another downed tree on the Middle Blue Jay. The Loon was all clear as of Wednesday, Waites Loop has two trees in need of a chain saw according to Dick.
Carry a knapsack. If you overdress you can carry your extra clothes.
When Nordic skiing we all warm up quite a bit. So that makes it a great sport for cold weather (No chairlift). Sweating does happen. A dry shirt to wear for your second lap and/or to wear home is really nice.
