Closed. 23º at 6:30 and partly cloudy. We will be checking out the trails and opening as soon as possible. It might be this afternoon. We will be looking for the snow to dry out and freeze up and checking for flooding on the Woodcock and Snow Goose.
Closed, 38º at 7am, and raining. We will be closed today. Given the forecast, we are planning on 10 km as quick as we can. We hope to get something open for the weekend, but that might depend on some snow falling after the rain.
Open, 13º at 6:30am, partly cloudy. The forecast high temperature today 36º and cloudy. Precipitation starting late this afternoon. The skiing today is good. Ian is packing the Peregrine wider and putting a track back in the side. All other trails open. Low trails tracked, upper trails packed.
Open, -2º at 6am, clear skies. The forecast for today 12º, still some wind possible, sunny in the morning. Great packed powder skiing. The low trails, packed and tracks. The upper trails, packed and back country skiing. A beautiful day for a tour.
Ten km of trails open, really great skiing. 2.6 inches of new snow, groomed yesterday before the snow. Today we get a powdery snow day. The skiing will be quiet, and beautiful. A snow globe day.
Carry a knapsack. If you overdress you can carry your extra clothes.
When Nordic skiing we all warm up quite a bit. So that makes it a great sport for cold weather (No chairlift). Sweating does happen. A dry shirt to wear for your second lap and/or to wear home is really nice.
