Open, 22º at 6:30 am. Forecast high today 26º and continued clouds. We did have a dusting of snow overnight. The trees still have snow in them. It is pretty out there.

10 km open. Woodcock, Turkey, Snow Goose, Grouse, and Peregrine. Skiing is faster now that the snow has frozen back up. The fun kind of fast. The photo below on the left is on the Woodcock. The photo on the right is Ian and machines smoothing out the left lane. The track is in and is solid. Ian is smoothing out the wide skate lane as I type.

Ian was able to get the Snow Cat around the Peregrine this morning, the cold weather finally dried out and froze up the snow. By 6:00 am when I got up, he was already done with the Peregrine. Yesterday the snow was still so wet the snow cat wouldn’t go up the hills on the Peregrine.

Ian also took a trip around the Chickadee, he took a chainsaw, he didn’t take a wet suit. Below is the photo. It needs to dry out a little and freeze up a lot and then will need a lot of shoveling…………. and we can’t shovel until it freezes up. The temperatures have gone down. Ian has worked the snow enough it is drying out down on the low trails. But as for the Chickadee and Upper and Middle Blue Jay, it will be a while.
