At this time of year, no matter how much preparation we have done for winter, there is always too much left to accomplish. Hi-ho, hi-ho, it is off to work we go.
With the tractor and flail mower and team weed eater the trails are looking good. The photos above are all on the Peregrine.
We have had a little chain saw work, but not near as much as last year. So far this year the tree/branch clean ups have been dead rotten trees or branches that have just become too darn heavy and have fallen down or over.
I have had help again this year. Graham and Wyatt are great on a weed eater. Wyatt is cleared to use a chainsaw, which is a big help. Dick has been using a weed eater on the Chickadee and Loon. And Chuck has been on the tractor and using a weed eater.
It is a lovely time of year to walk or run on the trails. Walking the Peregrine will keep your feet dry. All other trails will have some wet spots to pick around. Park at the end of the parking lot and don’t let Otis jump on you.
