Open at 9 am. The temperature at 6 am is 15º. The forecast high is 28º. The snow forecast is from 1 to 5 inches. Snow globe skiing!
We do have one inch of new snow on the ground this morning. The one inch is powdery, sparkly, light fresh, beautiful snow. Such a sight for sore eyes after our little January thaw. We made it though the thaw with a good base intact. With the snow cat, a lot of horse power, the we tilled the snow up nicely, and now has the fabulous snow on top! What a great day.
The skate lane is firm, and the track is in on all the low trails. Chickadee is open and was groomed yesterday, thanks to Ian and Dick.
All I have to say after that is, this is a really good day for a wonderful ski. Getting here early will help avoid the crowd.
