Open, 13º at 7 am, clear skis. Forecast high 29º. The skiing is really good. (There are a few thin spots.)
Trails open today, Woodcock, Snow Goose, Turkey, Grouse, Peregrine, Upper Blue Jay, Loon, and Chickadee. It is about 20 km. All with a track for classic skiing. Peregrine, Grouse and Turkey are also packed out with a skate lane.
New signs, Jon and Cindy whipped up some lovely new signs. And yesterday Ian started putting them out and around. Always nice to know where you are going.
Skiing is good, thin in spots. And Cliff said on the top of the Upper Blue Jay as you start down the other side, watch for a rock in the middle of the trail.
The forecast for this weekend is trending warmer. The snow/rain line is really close. Elevation will help with snow vs rain. We hope to come out on the plus side for snow!
