Red Sky in Morning…..

ra-5a4bd91746f71523

Skiing on the Chickadee and chatting with a friend.

Open, 9º at 7am. Forecast high 21º.

The sunrise was quite a show. 6:25am, a nice red/purple glow. Fading away. Recheck at 6:50, a orangish/red, rising into pink. I am so grateful to witness the sunrises. And I don’t like to get out of bed. I really am only up to get down and start the fire for the 7:30am yoga class. So thank you early yogis. I see sunrises I would otherwise miss.

In other news, THE SKIING IS FABULOUS!!!!!!! Enough said!? All trails are open. Skied the Chickadee yesterday. I love skiing the Chickadee. Clouds and blue sky came and went yesterday. I got blue sky and sun. Skiing the whole Chickadee and only saw our friend and neighbor, picture above. He went on to ski laps on Loon, and then over to ski laps on Upper Blue Jay. Many people tell me Loon is their favorite. Loon doesn’t do much for me. Upper Blue Jay, on the other hand, I love. I love the Middle Blue Jay, and I love the Goshawk. I like each trail for different reasons. It is interesting hearing peoples stories about which trails are their favorites. Let me know yours.

And, the incoming storm. We are in the 8 to 12 inch range. Ian prediction is 18 inches. I’ll let you know in the morning.

I’m partial to Woodcock and Snowgoose. Better groomed and the creek is like the sunrise, always different though in ice formations, sometimes the color changes too! 🙂
